As we continue in part of our quest to be producing the highest quality print possible on t-shirts of equaly high quality we have ventured into new territories of screenprinting: discharge and waterbased inks. We created a new 'Gloryland' design for some shirts headed for Roatan, Honduras. We did the first prints in a simple black waterbased ink, the turned out really nice. That was all we had really planned to do... But with some time left in the day Kent and I decided to have a little fun with the print, we cleaned the screen, and we made some discharge orange ink. We did a print or two in orange and decided to try and do a blended print, we quickly made a yellow ink to put in the mix. What we got was a nice gradient moving from yellow to orange. Sort of a sunburst effect! It was a good day. We printed several youth shirts to be handed out on a Restore trip to Pandy Town in Roatan along with the blue and dark grey Gloryland shirts!
Some of our team is in Roatan, Honduras, right now, as I write this. Here are some of the pictures we got back!!
